Serge Baguet Classic – Cycling Tour free for clients
After several years of participation in the Proximus Cycling Challenge, the Serge Baguet Classic cycling tour will return to its original format in 2023. This tour organised by our team for all Baguet Bicycle Center customers.
As during our cycling vacations in Calpe and Mojacar, we foresee 3 distances. These are 70 km, 95 km and 120 km (distances still indicative at the moment). On the way there is one refreshment stop. The tours go over less known roads and slopes in the Zwalm region, the Flemish Ardennes and Pays des Collines. In other words : on Serge‘s favourite training roads. As usual in Spain, the routes are beautiful but also tough.
Group ride – under guidance
Together with the BBC guides you can cover a certain distance at a certain (target) speed.
- 120 km – target speed 28 km/h: group start at 9 a.m. sharp
- 95 km – target speed 25 km/h: group start at 9:15 a.m. sharp
- 70 km – target speed 23 km/h: group start at 9:30 a.m. sharp
Free ride – individual
If you want to ride the rides at your own pace and without guidance, this is also possible with your own GPS device. Then you opt for a free ride. You will receive the GPX files of the routes and you can ride the chosen distance at your own pace. There are no arrows or other signage on the routes:
- 120 km – free start between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.
- 95 km – free start between 8.30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
- 70 km – free start between 8.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.
After the Serge Baguet Classic cycling tour we continue another good tradition. You can have a pleasant chat with the guides and other participants over a snack and drinks at democratic prices.
Participation / Registration
Participation in the Serge Baguet Classic cycling tour is completely free for our customers. In order to give as many customers as possible the chance to participate, this personal invitation is exclusive for customers. This invitation cannot be transferred to third parties.
When pre-registering, you need to make the choice between the free or the guided ride.The number of participants is limited to 300.
Registration for this Serge Baguet Classic cycling tour can be done via the button below as long as places are available or until 15/08/2023 at the latest.
The GPX files will be sent in advance to all participants. This after a final check-up of the route on the Wednesday before the event.
